1. Introduction & Core Privacy Guarantee
CallGuard ("the App"), developed by Sandeep Emekar ("the Developer"), is built with a strict 100% on-device privacy architecture. The App provides call-screening and spam-blocking capabilities designed to protect users against aggressive loan recovery agents, telemarketers, and unknown robocalls without ever harvesting, uploading, or sharing your personal data.
2. Information We Access & How It Is Used
To deliver call blocking and screening functionality on Android devices, the App requests specific system permissions:
- READ_CALL_LOG & READ_PHONE_STATE: Required to identify incoming caller numbers in real-time, determine whether the number matches your blocklist, keyword filters, or whitelist rules, and silence or disconnect unwanted calls. This processing occurs entirely on your device hardware.
- READ_CONTACTS: Used strictly to verify whether an incoming caller exists in your personal address book when the "Allow Contacts Only" rule is active. Your contacts are never transmitted off the device.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Used exclusively to alert you when a spam call has been successfully intercepted and blocked.
3. Zero Data Transmission
CallGuard does not operate an external database of your calls or contacts. The App does not upload your address book, call logs, phone numbers, or analytics to any remote server or third-party entity.
4. Third-Party Services
CallGuard does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs, tracking frameworks, or behavioral data brokers.
5. Data Retention & User Control
All blocked call history logs and rule configurations are stored locally inside the application's private sandbox storage on your device. You can purge your blocked call history at any time directly within the App settings or by uninstalling the application.
